Mom de Cuisine

About

Chef De Cuisine: (n.)  the chief cook, usually responsible for planning menus, ordering foodstuffs, overseeing food preparation, and supervising the kitchen staff (dictionary.com)

Let me start off by saying that I am by no means a chef.  I am, however, a mom and a wife. I have a husband who eats everything; one child who eats most things; and one child who eats almost nothing.  I found myself a short order cook, making something for the picky one, something for the one that eats most things, and something “grown up” for my husband and I.  Well, we’ve moved half way around the world, and I left the short-order cook at our old house. With a new kitchen, comes a new cook, The Mom de Cuisine!

I love this…I call my husband my “Official Taste Tester” and he takes his job very seriously!

Aww, so cute. I love the two “sous chefs”, they’re adorable. And I think it’s great that you get them involved, I do the same thing with my daughter!

Thanks, Sarah! I love to cook with them!

I can totally relate to this! My husband also eats everything, my daughter eats most things and my son eats hardly anything – I have to shove food in his mouth when he’s distracted.

Thanks for sharing this.

I love your byline about the short order cook – I can empathise with that! I’m a homeschooling mum of 4 and Cookery teacher and sometimes, I feel like tearing my hair out – my eldest is the fussiest eater I’ve come across! This is despite him making the dishes – he’ll make them but not eat them! We’ve made slight progress in the last few months, he now happily drinks fresh fruit juice! Looking forward to more of your stuff! xx
